We were extremely excited to award $2500 from 2018's Dance for Your Heart Halftime takeover to the Richmond Urban Dance League (RUD). Their mission, values, and commitment to the community are right in line with our purpose!

 

Richmond Urban Dance (RUD) is a dance company focusing exclusively on street-style dance and is open to all ages and skill sets. They even offer dance scholarships to youth in the community!
 

The founder of RUD Mandy Helmlinger is a wife and mother of four. She is  a native Richmonder who does not fit the typical persona of an urban dance entrepreneur. This 40-something soccer mom from the suburbs is consistently tripping people out with her unexpected street dance skills!
